The panel measures 2400 x 600 mm, and is made from lamellae 11 mm and 27 mm deep, with a distance of 13 mm in between.
The slats are mounted on a base of acoustic felt.
The specially developed acoustic felt is made from recycled material and is 9 mm thick.
The panel is 22 mm thick in total including the slats and the felt.
Sound consists of waves and when the sound hit a hard surface it continues to reflect back into the room, which creates reverberation.
In an official soundtest our panel reached the highest rating possible – Sound Class A. In order to reach Sound Class A, you have to install mineral wool behind the panels. However, you can also install the panels directly on your wall, and by doing so the panels will reach Sound Class D, which is also very effective when it comes to dampening the sound.
As you can see on the graph the panels are most effective at frequencies between 300 Hz and 2000 Hz, which are the common noise levels that most people are experiencing. In reality this means that the panels will dampen both high and deep sounds. The graph above is based on acoustic panels mounted on a 45 mm. batten with mineral wool behind the panels.
The panels is made from sustainable materials. The acoustical felt is made from recycled plastic (primarily plastic bottles), and the slats are made from MDF with a veneer surface. Clean it using a dust broom, a vacuum cleaner or a hard-wrung cloth.
The felt is made from recycled plastic and all the wood we use comes from sustainable forestry. The forest is allowed to reproduce more trees than what is being cut, and we also ensure great conditions for the workers and the plant- and wildlife in the forest.
Each panel is 240 x 60 x 2,2 cm. and one panel equals 1,44 m2. This is our standard size and we are not able to make longer panels.
We have various additional products that you can use to give your project the perfect finish. You can also find screws and glue for installation. We got you covered.
Create the perfect ending to your slat wall by adding end-lamellas to the wall. Also, people use end-lamellas to create frames for slat walls
Use glue / adhesive to install end-lamellas or use the glue to install the panels directly on the wall. As a rule of thumb you need 1 tube of glue for 2 panels.
If your projects requires extra felt the you have to order just that. You might also want to use the felt to create sound dampening pin boards.
Just want to buy the slats/lamellas without the felt backing? No problem – in here you can order individual slats in all the colors.
